The Spotlight Series on Canola is a multi-faceted tool that includes the following resources:
- Video: Students can learn about Canola farming in a short 3-minute video, What's in the field?
- Activity: The curriculum-linked Focus on Canola teaches students about the Canola's history and production.
- Grow BC: Students can explore Grow BC-Canola Story, an interactive GIS map and story resource, to learn about Canola oil. This resource provides straightforward integration into the class curriculum.
- Recipes: Students can fine-tune their culinary skills while cooking delicious recipes with Canola Oil, created by BCAITC’s Chef Trevor Randle including Greek Style Potato Salad, BC Ginger Soy Vinaigrette, Spiced BC Squash Doughnuts, BC Inspired Thai Vegan / Chicken Curry, and BC Eggnog Yorkshire Pudding.
