Every July, teachers hungry to expand their knowledge of agriculture become the students at BC Agriculture in the Classroom (BCAITC) and the UBC Faculty of Education's Summer Institute course.

We are excited to announce that the 2022 Summer Institute course (EDCP 329 – Agriculture In the Curriculum) will take place from July 18 to 22, 2022 in-person in Abbotsford. 

BC public, independent, and First Nations schools can register from August 22 to September 8, 2022 to participate in BCAITC's 2022/2023 Planting a Promise program. 

BCAITC is calling for nominations for its annual Outstanding Teacher in Agriculture Award. Nominations for the 2022 award are being accepted now to December 1, 2022 for teachers that have gone above and beyond to provide agriculture education to K-12 students.

Attend the Prince George District Teachers' Association Pro-D Day Conference on April 28, 2023 and learn about agriculture and food with a workshop presented by BCAITC's Education Specialist, Holly Johnson.

Attend the Central Okanagan Teacher’s Conference on August 29, 2023, and learn about agriculture and food with a workshop presented by BCAITC's Education Specialist, Holly Johnson.

Attend the Chilliwack Teachers Conference on April 26, 2024, and learn about agriculture and food with a workshop presented by BCAITC's representaive.
